In the intraday trading on July 28, the main contracts of domestic futures fell more and rose less. Among them, soda ash futures were weak, and the main contract fell sharply by 4.66% to 2066 yuan as of press time.

On the supply side, SDIC Anxin Futures pointed out that the second line of Yuanxing new device has plans to feed around the end of the month, and the specific time is to be determined. At present, the start-up decreased by 3.23% to 819% month-on-month. At present, Kunlun and Qinghai in Qinghai surrendered, Fengcheng in Xuzhou resumed operation, and Hebang in Sichuan resumed, and the supply faced a slight increase. However, at the end of the month, the maintenance of Kunshan in Zhongyan was expected, and the supply was dominated by low fluctuations.

On the demand side, Founder’s mid-term futures analysis said that the downstream demand of heavy caustic soda just needs to improve, the downstream demand of light caustic soda has not changed significantly, and the inventory level of raw soda ash is not high as a whole. As of July 27, 2023, the national daily output of float glass was 168,000 tons, which was the same as the previous month. This week, the national float glass output was 1,175,800 tons, +0.05% from the previous month and -0.41% from the same period last year. This week, the operating rate of the float glass industry was 80.33%, which was flat from the previous month.

In terms of inventory, according to Guantong Futures, as of July 27th, the inventory in soda ash plant was 248,300 tons, down 20.67% from-64,700 tons. Among them, 122,100 tons of light soda ash and 126,200 tons of heavy alkali were-34,300 tons and-30,400 tons respectively.

Regarding the market outlook, galaxy futures said that soda ash is still in a pattern of short supply in the near future and long-term oversupply. When the new production capacity of the market falls short of expectations, the biggest uncertainty is still the delivery time of Yuanxing. Yesterday, Boyuan Yingen Railway Special Line officially started operation and the project progressed steadily. However, the short-term supply pattern is tight, and the contract price in recent months is strong under the continuous low inventory. In the long run, under the background of overall oversupply in the second half of the year and manufacturers competing for the competitive market, soda ash is treated in the air for a long time, and it is possible to choose the opportunity to meet the sky in the distant moon.
